- Log in to Questrade on a web browser.
- You can access the fixed income trading platform through the search bar at the top of your account by looking up a bond or GIC directly or selecting Fixed income products from the drop-down menu in the Symbol lookup bar.
- Select Bonds at the top of the page to see a table of all currently available bonds.
- Then select Buy next to the investment you are interested in. The purchase request and order confirmation will be shown.
The minimum order for purchasing bonds is $5,000. Bonds can be purchased from 9am - 3:30pm ET. (Excluding weekends/holidays).
How do I buy Mutual funds on Questrade?
Mutual funds can be purchased via the mutual fund centre in Questrade.
- Log in to your Questrade account and add Questrade Edge Web.
- Head over to either the Trade (on the top right of the platform) or Questrade Edge under the Accounts menu.
- Select Mutual Funds on the top navigation bar of the trading page to head over to the Mutual fund centre page, where you can select Buy/Sell.
- Choose the funds you wish to purchase and click Buy Now.
How do I buy IPOs on Questrade?
Initial Public Offerings (IPOs) can be purchased online through the Questrade IPO Centre.
- Head to the IPO Centre and choose from the available IPOs and new issues.
- When you see an IPO you wish to buy, click the green BUY button on the far right of the panel.
- After that, you’ll be prompted to log in, and once logged in, confirm the order details.

How do I buy Precious metals on Questrade?
- To buy precious metals like gold and silver, please contact Questrade’s trade desk at 1.866.980.9590.
- If you were referred to Questrade from a precious metals dealer, contact your dealer directly to trade.
Can I practice using more complex orders and durations using Questrade Edge Web before I add it to my platform?

Can I see more detailed information on my accounts (including asset allocation, balances, etc)?
If you want more detailed information on your accounts, simply select Accounts in the menu, then select the Reports tab.
Here you will find:
- Investment Summary: A snapshot view of your investments, showing the total value, allocation, and any changes in value over a specific period.
- Investment Return: A detailed breakdown of the profit or loss generated from your investments.
- Account Activity: A chronological log of all transactions and actions taken within the account, including deposits, withdrawals, trades, and other relevant activities.
- Statements: Monthly or quarterly reports that provide an overview of your account.
- Trade Confirmations: Documentation provided post-trade, confirming the transaction details.
- Tax Slips: Tax documents outlining contributions, income and deductions from your account(s).
How do I find more information about a specific stock or ETF on the platform?
To find more information about a specific stock or ETF:
- Log in to Questrade on a web browser and select Trading at the top navigation bar of your Questrade account.
- Select the Symbol lookup bar at the top of your screen. The drawer will expand so you can search for the Stock or ETF you’re looking for.
- Enter the ticker symbol, or search by the company or ETF name.
- After you’ve found the security you’re looking for, simply tap on it to open the full detailed quote.
The quotes page provides clear information on the specific security you're interested in, allowing you to concentrate on trading the securities you want.
Discover information about the stock/ETF, such as the security’s ticker symbol, historical price chart, the last traded price, P&L and much more.
