Questrade Plus is a monthly subscription designed to get you to where you want to be, sooner. Get $0.05 CAD cashback on every US equity option contract traded, a smoother path to retirement with a 1% match on your RRSP contributions, and invest in your wellbeing by unlocking our full suite of perks with brands like MasterClass, The Wall Street Journal, and Othership.

How much does Questrade Plus cost?
For a limited time, until September 30, 2026, all customers can sign up to Questrade Plus for free (see terms and conditions). Starting October 1, 2026, Questrade Plus costs $19.99 per month plus applicable taxes. Questrade Reserve customers also get Questrade Plus for free as part of their Reserve benefits.
The pricing shown is applicable to retail, non-professional subscribers. If you’re considered a professional market data user, the Real-Time Streaming Package isn't part of your Plus subscription — subscribe to your data package at the professional rate under Management > Additional market data instead. You still get every other Plus benefit, including cashback on options and a 1% match on RRSP contributions.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Every Questrade customer — even if you've used a free trial before or tried Plus in the past — gets Questrade Plus free from July 29 to September 30, 2026. Already subscribed as of July 29, 2026? Your subscription is free through September 30, 2026 too, no action needed.

How do I sign up?
Log in to your Questrade account (web only).
Select Questrade Plus (opens in a new tab) from the left-hand menu or go to Management > Questrade Plus.
Select “Try for free” and follow the prompts.
Are there features that used to require Plus but are now free?
Yes. Advanced charting, custom alerts, Market View heat map, Profit & Loss (P&L) calculator, and educational webinars are now available to all Questrade customers at no charge.
Will I still get $0 commission on stocks and options?
Yes. $0 commission on stocks, ETFs, and US equity options applies to all Questrade customers, whether or not you subscribe to Questrade Plus. Questrade Plus then adds an extra $0.05 CAD cashback on top of that $0 commission for each eligible US equity option contract traded.
How do I earn cashback on options?
Questrade Plus subscribers earn an additional $0.05 CAD cashback per eligible US equity option contract traded, on top of commission-free US equity options. Orders placed outside standard trading hours (pre-market or after-hours) are not eligible to earn cashback.
Cashback will be paid monthly, on or before the third business day of the following month, to an eligible cash or margin account. If you don’t have an eligible payout account, please open one before the end of the month to ensure you receive your cashback payment.

How does the 1% match on RRSP contributions work?
Starting August 1, 2026, Questrade Plus subscribers earn a 1% match on net new RRSP contributions. Contributions must be deposits, not account transfer-ins from another institution, and are net of any RRSP withdrawals or cancelled contributions for the period. RRSP match bonuses are paid out monthly, on or before the third business day of the following month, into an eligible cash or margin account. If you don’t have an eligible payout account, please open one before the end of the month to ensure you receive your match bonus payment. You’ll earn a match on net new contributions up to the CRA’s RRSP contribution maximum for the tax year ($33,810 for 2026).

What is first access to Pre-IPO offerings?
Questrade Plus subscribers who meet accredited investor status can place orders on new Pre-IPO offerings during an exclusive Questrade Plus window. After that window closes, the offering opens to all other clients. Units are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, so investing during the exclusive window gives subscribers a better chance of securing units.

What are the exclusive perks included in Questrade Plus?
You can find all your exclusive perks by logging into your account, selecting Questrade Plus from the left-hand menu (or go to Management > Questrade Plus) and scrolling down to the Perks section. Currently, Questrade Plus subscribers get access to the following perks:

How do I learn more about my Questrade Plus benefits?

When will I be charged?
You’ll be charged on the first of the month, starting October 1, 2026 (after the free trial for all customers ends on September 30, 2026).
If you subscribe mid-month, the price of Questrade Plus will be pro-rated based on the number of days left in the month. Your benefits will be available to use immediately (Real-time streaming market data may take effect the following trading day). Starting the following month, you’ll be charged for the full calendar month.
How do I pay for Questrade Plus?
There are two ways to pay for Questrade Plus: directly from your Questrade account or with a credit card (Visa, Mastercard and American Express). We’ll ask you to confirm your payment method during sign up; if there’s a free trial, we’ll still need a payment method but you won’t be billed until the free trial ends.
Please note that at this time, we are unable to accept pre-paid credit cards.
How do I change my payment method?
You can change or update your payment information at any time.
Log in to your Questrade account (web only).
Select Questrade Plus (opens in a new tab) from the left-hand menu or go to Management > Questrade Plus.
Select Manage Access > Change payment method
Select whether you’d like to pay with credit card (Visa, Mastercard or American Express; prepaid cards not accepted) or directly from your Questrade account
Add the required information, select Continue and confirm your payment
Can I cancel at any time?
Yes. Cancel before September 30, 2026, and you will not be charged. After October 1, cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
Do I have to pay for Questrade Plus on each of my accounts?
No, Questrade Plus benefits apply to all your accounts under your User ID. If you open a new account after choosing Questrade Plus, your Plus benefits and features apply to that new account. This also applies for any Joint or Corporate accounts under your User ID.
How does Questrade Plus work with market data subscriptions?
Questrade Plus includes free access to the Real-Time Data Streaming Package. If you’re already paying for it, you’ll stop getting charged those fees as it’s included in part of your Plus subscription. If you cancel Plus, you’ll need to resubscribe to Real-Time Data Streaming once your Plus subscription ends.
If you have the Advanced Streaming Package instead, you’ll get a discount of $9.95/mo on Plus. If you cancel Plus, your Advanced Streaming Package will not be impacted.
What if I am a professional subscriber?
If you’re considered a professional subscriber for market data reporting purposes, the free Real-Time Data Streaming Package is not included in your Questrade Plus subscription. If you’re a professional and would like to subscribe to market data, you’ll need to sign up to the data package separately:
Log in to your Questrade account (web only).
From the top navigation bar, go to Management > Additional Market Data.
For the latest professional market data fees by exchange, click here (opens in a new tab). Professional traders can still get every other Plus benefit, including cashback on US equity option contracts, first access to Pre-IPO offerings, and a 1% match on RRSP contributions.
What happens if my payment doesn’t go through?
If there is an error or issue processing your payment, we'll send you email reminders so you have a chance to update your payment information. This will be done whether you’ve set up direct payments from your account or are using a credit card. We’ll attempt to re-process your payment for three days so that you don’t lose access to your benefits. If by the fourth day of the month we haven’t received payment, your Questrade Plus access will be deactivated and you will be notified.
If your subscription is canceled due to payment issues, you can always sign up to Questrade Plus again with updated payment information by going to Management > Questrade Plus (opens in a new tab).
I am a Reserve member. Do I need to pay for Plus?
No. Questrade Plus is available for free as part of your Reserve benefits; however, you’ll still need to sign up to Plus to activate the subscription:
Log in to your Questrade account (web only).
Select Questrade Plus (opens in a new tab) from the left-hand menu or go to Management > Questrade Plus.
Select “Try for free” and follow the prompts.
During sign up, you’ll also need to select your billing option (either directly from your Questrade account or through a Visa, Mastercard or American Express credit card) but you won’t be charged for as long as you have Reserve benefits.
If you are already subscribed to Questrade Plus when you qualify for Reserve benefits, you will automatically receive it for free and won’t be charged for as long as you have Reserve benefits.
If you lose your Reserve benefits and don’t cancel Plus, you’ll automatically be billed the monthly subscription charge at the start of the month (as long as it is on or after October 1, 2026). You’ll be notified by email if you enter the Reserve Grace Period and are at risk of losing your benefits, so you have enough time to decide if you’d like to cancel your Plus subscription.
How do I cancel Questrade Plus?
Log in to your Questrade account (web only).
Select Questrade Plus (opens in a new tab) from the left-hand menu or go to Management > Questrade Plus.
Select Manage access > Cancel Questrade Plus
What happens if I cancel my subscription during the free trial?
Cancel during the free trial (ending September 30, 2026) and you'll keep your benefits until September 30 — your subscription just won't renew, so benefits end on October 1, 2026.
Changed your mind? Re-subscribe anytime under Management > Questrade Plus.
What happens to my Plus benefits once I cancel my subscription?
Questrade Plus is billed monthly, so you’ll have access to your Plus benefits until the end of the month if you choose to cancel. You’ll still earn cashback on any US equity option contracts traded and a match on net new RRSP contributions until the end of the month, and you’ll see the payouts (eligible payout account required and other terms and conditions still apply) at the start of the next month. However, you won’t earn any more cashback or RRSP match moving forward.
If you’ve activated and redeemed partner perks, they may also be deactivated once you lose access to Questrade Plus.
What happens to my Plus subscription if I close or transfer out my Questrade account?
If you close or transfer out every Questrade account linked to your User ID, Questrade Plus cancels. If you keep at least one active account, Plus stays enabled on that account and your monthly billing continues as usual. If you’re not sure if all your accounts will be fully closed, consider manually cancelling your Plus subscription first to ensure you won’t be charged.
