Get1000 offer frequently asked questions
Who is eligible for this offer?
The offer is open to new and existing Questrade clients. New clients are individuals who don't currently hold an open and funded account with Questrade or Questrade Wealth Management Inc. (QWM). You'll need to enter the Offer Code GET1000 when you start your first eligible account application. Forgot the code? You can still opt in through Rewards and Benefits in your online Customer Portal during the offer period (October 13, 2026 to November 2, 2026). Existing clients opt in through Rewards and Benefits too.
When does the offer run and when will I receive my Bonus?
You'll need to open (if you're new) and fund a self-directed account between October 13, 2026 and November 2, 2026 (the “Offer Period”). Your deposits must be received and settled by 11:59 p.m. ET on November 2, 2026, and transfers-in must be initiated through the Questrade online portal during the Offer Period and received and settled by 11:59 p.m. ET on December 14, 2026. You'll receive half your Bonus on or about June 11, 2027 and the other half on or about December 10, 2027, in an eligible individual or joint self-directed Questrade Cash or Margin account. Make sure you have one open and in good standing by the first Check Date on June 2, 2027.
Do I have to sign up before I fund my account?
No. You can sign up for the offer any time from October 13 through November 2, 2026. Deposits and transfers you start from October 13 onward to November 2, 2026 count, even if you started them before signing up. We track this automatically, so there's no need to contact us.
How much can I earn?
It depends on your total Net Funding amount, which means any new deposits that arrive in your account by November 2, 2026, plus any transfers-in initiated by November 2 and arrive in your account by December 14, 2026, minus any withdrawals or transfers-out between October 13 and December 14, 2026: $20,000 or more earns $100, $50,000 or more earns $300, and $100,000 or more earns $1,000. You'll receive one Bonus for the highest tier you reach. Tiers don't add together.
Do I need to keep my funds in my account after the deadline?
Yes. Your Net Funding needs to stay at or above your tier's minimum until two Check Dates: June 2, 2027 and December 2, 2027. Market fluctuations won't count against you, but deposits and/or withdrawals will impact your Net Funding. On each Check Date, we’ll take your Net Funding as it was on December 14, 2026, add any deposits or transfers-in that arrived in your eligible accounts since December 14, 2026, and minus any withdrawals or transfers-out for the same time period. If that calculated amount is lower than the tier threshold that you initially qualified for, you'll miss that payout and any after it, even if you re-deposit the funds before the next Check Date. For example, if you earned the $1,000 tier with $100,000 in Net Funding and withdraw $10,000 in March 2027, you will receive neither instalment unless you restore your Net Funding by the June 2, 2027 Check Date. If, in that example, you then deposited $10,000 in April 2027 and made no other withdrawals through December 2, 2027, you remain eligible for both instalments.
Does it matter how I fund my account?
Deposits (like bill payment, Interac e-Transfer, wire, cheque or DRS) and transfers from another financial institution both count. Start them between October 13 and November 2, 2026. For Deposits, they will also need to settle by November 2, 2026. Transfers have until December 14, 2026 to settle. Transfers from another institution need to be started through the Questrade online portal. Transfers started at your other institution don't count.
Can I split my funding across multiple accounts or transfers?
Yes. You can fund one or more eligible accounts. We add them all together to calculate your Net Funding.
What counts toward my Net Funding?
Net Funding is the new money you deposit or transfer in, minus any money you withdraw, during the offer period. Transfers between your own Questrade or QWM accounts, interest and dividends, and assets you already held don't count as new money. Withdrawals from any of your eligible accounts reduce your total, including from accounts you had before the offer and accounts you did not fund under this offer. Moving money out to a QWM account, a joint or entity account, or another institution counts as a withdrawal.
Which accounts count?
Your individual self-directed accounts, such as Cash, Margin, TFSA, RRSP, FHSA and Custom Indexing. Joint, entity, informal trust, QWM and Online FX and CFDs accounts don't count.
Can existing clients participate?
Yes. Opt in once through Rewards and Benefits in your online Customer Portal between October 13 and November 2, 2026. Only new deposits and transfers you make during the offer period count, not what's already in your accounts (new payments from existing Pre-Authorized Deposits set-up also count, so long as they arrive in your account during the offer period).
Can I combine this with any other promotions?
This Offer cannot be combined with any other offer, except the Switch for Free promotion and the Questrade Plus Trial Offer, and any other offer that expressly states it can be combined with this Offer.
Is the Bonus taxable?
It may be. You’re responsible for any tax that applies to the Bonus. If you’re not sure how it affects you, talk to a tax professional.
