Connect Questrade to your AI tool [BETA]

Already know your way around Model Context Protocol (MCP)? Follow the instructions below to connect your Questrade account to Claude and Claude Code, and other supported AI tools in a couple of minutes.
Questrade MCP is currently available in beta testing to a select group of customers.
As a refresher, MCP is a shared standard that lets AI tools connect to your account safely. In practice, it means your AI tool can read your Questrade data instead of you copying and pasting numbers by hand. The Questrade MCP currently supports read-only access, giving your AI tool of choice the ability to pull your account and market data, but not place orders.
Support for drafting orders and custom indices is coming soon.
What you'll need
A Questrade account and your usual Questrade login.
One of the supported AI tools. See below for the full list.
The server address

Every tool connects to this same address. The only difference is where you paste it.
Connect
Right now the following AI tools are available to connect through Questrade MCP:
Claude (web, desktop,mobile): Settings > Connectors > Add custom connector > paste the address > leave the client secret blank > Connect.
Claude Code: run claude mcp add --transport http Questrade https://mcp.questrade.com/v1/brokerage/mcp, then claude -> /mcp > questrade > Log in.
Each one opens the Questrade login in your browser — sign in, review the permissions, and grant them.
What you should know
By clicking "Allow," you authorize Questrade to give access and permission to your selected AI Agent. Questrade does not control, monitor or take any responsibility for how your AI Agent uses your data. All actions taken, including trades are your sole responsibility in accordance with our API Access Agreement and Privacy Policy. You can revoke access anytime in Settings > API Access > Permissions, but this won't remove previously shared data. Please review your AI Agent's privacy policy before proceeding.
Confirm it worked
Ask your AI to list your accounts. If it returns them, you're connected.

Your AI will return answers that combine your portfolio data with what it finds online — the kind of context a generic chatbot can't touch.
