Managing your trade alerts

Discover how to set up and manage trade alerts in your account.

The markets move fast, and we want to help you move faster! One of the great ways to keep up with the markets is to identify opportunities as they happen. But if you can’t spend the entire day watching charts. You need tools to keep you informed, and we’ve got them— alerts. You can set up alerts to see price or volume changes on specific investments, and see whether investments are hitting new 52-week highs or lows. We’ll notify you by email when significant events happen to investments you own or to ones you’re monitoring in your watchlists.

Alerts are based on a set of pre-defined conditions you choose. They can include price movements, 52-week highs or lows, and high trading volume. Here are some examples of how alerts work. Set an alert to notify you when:

  • Stock XYZ is trading for less than $100. If the price of stock ABC falls below $100, you’ll receive an email/message about the price change
  • Stock XYZ has reached a high trading volume of trades
  • An ETF has reached a new 52-week low
