Cash Back Offer Terms and Conditions

In these Terms and Conditions, "we", "our", and "us" means Community Trust Company (‘CTC’), through its QuestMortgage® service, and "you" and "your" mean the individual(s) who applies/apply to us for a QuestMortgage personal mortgage loan (‘Mortgage’) offered by us, including all co-applicant(s) or their personal representatives.

When you obtain a Mortgage in an amount of CA$200,000 or more with a five-year fixed or five-year variable rate closed term, you may be eligible to receive a cash payment (‘Cash Back’) of up to CA$5,000 (the ‘QuestMortgage Cash Back Offer’ or ‘Offer’) subject to these Terms and Conditions, which govern the QuestMortgage Cash Back Offer.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • QuestMortgage products and services are only available to Canadian residents for residential dwellings or buildings located in Canada (some exceptions apply, see below). Mortgage approval is subject to the home meeting our property requirements, verification of required equity, maximum permitted loan amounts and meeting our credit and lending criteria. QuestMortgage is currently not available to residents of the Province of Quebec or with respect to mortgage products for dwellings or buildings located in the Province of Quebec or in any of the Canadian Territories (Yukon, the Northwest Territories or Nunavut).

  •  

  • The QuestMortgage Cash Back Offer is only available if you are:

    • making a new property purchase and apply for and are approved for a new Mortgage for that property; or

    • transferring (switching) your existing mortgage from another financial institution to CTC; or

    • becoming a new CTC client through Mortgage refinancing if your mortgage is with another financial institution.  

  • To qualify, the Mortgage must be in the amount of CA$200,000 or more with a five-year fixed or five-year variable rate closed term (‘Qualifying Mortgage’).

  • Qualifying Mortgages will receive and are subject to the QuestMortgage Cash Back Rates which are the available interest rates for this Offer.  These rates can be obtained by calling us at 1.888.909.5588 and speaking with one of our Mortgage Advisors.  Some of these rates are shown on our website, which is updated regularly.

  • The QuestMortgage Cash Back Offer does not apply if you are:
    • renewing or refinancing any existing CTC mortgage (includes all QuestMortgage products); or

    • assuming or porting the terms of any existing CTC mortgage (includes all QuestMortgage products).

     

CASH BACK PROVISIONS

  • Prior to your approved Mortgage being funded we will provide you with a Cash Back incentive voucher (‘Voucher’) which will state the Cash Back Amount you will receive and the Cash Back repayment provisions (in certain circumstances where the Mortgage is repaid early, is refinanced, or is extended).  You will need to complete and sign the Voucher in accordance with our instructions and return it to us to receive your Cash Back Amount.

  • Subject to funding the Mortgage, if all qualifications and other conditions are satisfied, the Cash Back Amount will be determined on the following basis:

  • Subject to meeting all conditions, the Cash Back Amount will be deposited into the bank account from which the Mortgage payments are made, as specified on the Voucher, and should be deposited within 2 weeks of funding the Mortgage.

OTHER CONDITIONS

  • This Offer cannot be combined with any other CTC promotions unless otherwise indicated or authorized.

  • This Offer may be amended or cancelled at the sole discretion of CTC at any time without prior notice.

  • The Cash Back Offer will not be available for additional Mortgages for the same property.

  • The Cash Back cannot be used for your Mortgage down payment.

  • CTC reserves the right to refuse or terminate your participation in this Offer if CTC suspects or discovers that you are abusing the proper and intended operation of this Cash Back incentive.

  • Nothing in this Offer should be used or construed as real-estate, tax, mortgage, financial or investment advice.
