What is the Remix Your Life contest?

Remix Your Life is a 6-week contest running from June 1 to July 15, 2026, celebrating the launch of Custom Indexing. One winner will receive a prize package worth $90,000.

What can I win?

One winner will receive these two prizes:

  • A 3-night stay at Nimmo Bay, a luxury wilderness resort in BC's Great Bear Rainforest, for you and a guest. Flights, accommodation, meals, excursions, and transfers are all included. The trip must be booked within 12 months of claiming your prize. Retail value is approximately $20,000.
  • $70,000 in cash, deposited over 10 years. You'll receive $7,000 per year, deposited into a Questrade Cash, Margin, self-directed TFSA, or Questwealth Portfolios Cash or TFSA of your choosing. The first deposit is made within 10 business days of providing your account number, then annually on the same date for the remaining nine years.
If I win, where will my cash be deposited?

You get to choose. Your prize can be deposited into a Cash, Margin, self-directed TFSA, or Questwealth Portfolios Cash or TFSA.

The default selection is an unregistered account. This is done because everyone's TFSA contribution room is different. By depositing into a Cash or Margin account, you avoid the risk of over contributing and stay in control of how those funds are used.

But, if you prefer to have it deposited right into a TFSA of your choosing, you can. The money is yours to allocate on your terms.

Who is eligible to enter?

All entrants must be legal residents of Canada and have reached the age of majority in their province or territory at the time of entry.

Do I need to be an existing Questrade customer?

No. New and existing customers can both enter through the same qualifying steps.

How do I enter?

Open a Custom Indexing account, create your Custom Index, and link the two together. Once your index and account are linked, you'll receive 10,000 base entries. No funding or trading is required to qualify. Learn how to link your index to your account.

I made a Custom Indexing account before the contest started. Am I entered automatically?

If you created your Custom Index and linked it to your account before June 1, you're already in, and you've earned double the base entries (20,000) as an early adopter bonus. If you opened an account but haven't created or linked an index yet, you'll need to complete those steps to qualify.

Does my account need to be fully approved to enter the contest?

Yes. Your Custom Indexing account must be fully approved and in complete status at the time of the draw to be eligible.

Can I earn more entries?

Yes. For every $500 you deposit into a Custom Indexing account during the contest period, you'll earn 5,000 additional entries. There's no cap on the number of entries you can earn through funding.

How are funding entries calculated?

Your final entry total will be the combination of your base entries from setting up your Custom Index, plus any additional entries earned by depositing.

Important: your extra funding entries are based on your net deposits — total deposits minus any withdrawals — across all of your Custom Indexing accounts during the contest period. If you deposit $2,000 and withdraw $500, your bonus entries are calculated on $1,500.

When is the deadline to earn entries?

The contest closes on July 15, 2026. All necessary steps — account creation and index linking — must be completed by that date. Deposits made after July 15 do not count toward bonus entries, even if the draw hasn't happened yet.

If I open multiple Custom Indexing accounts, do I get more base entries?

No. You receive 10,000 base entries once, regardless of how many accounts or indexes you create. However, deposits across all of your Custom Indexing accounts count toward your funding bonus entries.

Where can I see my entry total?

You can check your entry total in the client portal or Questmobile. Entries may take up to one business day to update after you qualify.

When is the winner selected?

After the contest closes on July 15, there's a short settlement period to allow all deposits to finalize. The winner will be drawn randomly from the full entry pool on or about July 30, 2026.

How will the winner be notified?

We'll contact the winner by phone and email. The winner will need to answer a simple skill-testing question to claim their prize.

If I win, how do I book the Nimmo Bay trip?

We'll work with you to arrange flights, then you'll be connected directly with Nimmo Bay to complete the resort booking and plan your itinerary. The trip must take place within 12 months of claiming the prize.

Is there a way to enter without opening an account?

Yes. You can enter by mailing a handwritten entry that includes your full name, street address, phone number, email address, and a 250-word essay on why you should win the Remix Your Life contest and how you would remix your financial future. Mail your entry to: Care of Contest Submission, 5700 Yonge St, North York, ON M2M 4K2. Mail-in entries receive 10,000 entries, equivalent to the base entry.
