Microsite Careers FAQ's

  • I'd like to join. How do I send my application to Questrade?

Send us your application online by visiting www.questrade.com/careers, then click on current opportunities to view our most recent job postings.

Each job posting has an apply for this position button. Click on it to be redirected to the application page for that particular job. You’ll be asked to provide some brief information about yourself (feel free to brag), and you can upload your resume along with any additional documents.

Note: you’ll need to complete all mandatory fields (marked with an asterisk) to send your application successfully. Not to worry, the form should take less than five minutes to complete. The more you tell us, the better we can help you make a fit with a job that really gets you energized.

Once you send your application, you’ll get a confirmation email.

  • My friend is perfect for one of your job postings. How can I pass it along?

  • Someone at Questrade referred me to an open position. How will you know that I've been referred?

When you fill out your online application, you’ll see a field called how you heard about us. Click on the drop down menu, then select employee referral as the source and enter the first and last name of the Questrade employee who referred you to us in the referred by field.

Don’t know anyone at Questrade? No problem, we’re still very interested to know how you found us, so please tell us in the how you heard about us field of your application.

  • I really want to join Questrade, but there aren’t any current opportunities that fit my goals and qualifications. What should I do?

We’re always updating our careers page with new opportunities, so check back often. To get the latest updates on Questrade careers, follow us on LinkedIn or Twitter. We post about life at Questrade and new opportunities.

  • Is life at Questrade really that good? I want to learn more.

Start by checking out our corporate video, Instagram page, and our employee testimonials to see and hear what it’s like to work at Questrade. We think it’s pretty great here and hope you will too.

  • Once I apply, how long does it take to hear something back from Questrade? I get nervous.

We typically contact qualifying applicants two to four weeks after their application. Don’t worry if you aren’t contacted during this time period: we keep your application on file for potential future opportunities so we can contact you when the right job comes along.

  • Is there a ‘hard stop’ deadline for submitting applications?

No deadlines. We keep job postings open until we find the best person to join the team.

  • Ok, I'm getting interested. Can you walk me through the stages of recruitment at Questrade?

There are typically three stages of recruitment for each opportunity:
    1. After the online application submission stage, qualifying candidates (maybe you?) will be contacted for a telephone pre-screening with a member of our talent acquisition team (think HR, but better). This is the candidate’s chance to discuss the role in general, answer some preliminary questions and ask us anything they want.
    2. Qualifying candidates who stand out during the telephone pre-screening stage will be invited for an on-site practical interview. Here’s where they’ll have the opportunity to showcase their skills and experiences to potential new colleagues. (If you make it to this point, don’t hold back, and show them what you’ve got.)
    3. The final stage involves an interview with the department director to chat about the position at a higher level. Don’t worry about this one, our directors and execs are all friendly people.

Recruitment is a big deal for both of us – selecting the right job for you is just as important as selecting the right candidate is for us. It’s a two-way street, so we want to make sure you like us too.

  • How do I prepare for an interview at Questrade? Do I need to study?

No, preparing for an interview here isn’t like studying for an exam, although we always recommend you come prepared. Be yourself, think of great examples that help showcase your top skills and experience that make you a good fit for the position, and get to know us. Why not explore our corporate website to learn about our products and services, and to really familiarize yourself with our careers section.

  • I’m looking forward to meeting the team in person. Where would my interview be?

A member of our talent acquisition team will confirm the exact time and location before your interview so you know where to be and when. In addition, we’ll send you interview confirmation details via email. In case you’re still curious, we have two offices that interview for our open roles:

Our exotic office location is in Yerevan, Armenia. That’s where some of our tech team members are located.
